SAS has announced that eight new direct routes will be added to its timetable for summer 2016. This will include destinations that are popular throughout the year as city breaks along with some key airports for the peak summer season. The new routes will increase SAS’s offering from Scandinavian airports by almost 600,000 seats throughout 2016.

The services will start to be introduced from the end of March 2016. The additional year-round direct services will include departures from Copenhagen to Vienna, Krakow, and Reykjavik. There will also be a route from Stockholm to the Polish city of Gdansk. Tourists are increasingly enjoying the variety of places to stay that are on offer in Vienna and Krakow, with Gdansk and Reykjavik popular with both leisure and business passengers.

SAS will also add flights to some popular European holiday destinations in time to service the increase in demand during the peak season. Their new routes will feature services between Copenhagen and Faro, Stavanger and Paris, Aarhus and Palma de Mallorca, and Stockholm and Mykonos.

In addition to the new routes, SAS has also announced an increase in services into and out of Oslo. There will be an additional service each day on five of their popular business routes: Aberdeen, Brussels, Billund, Bodo, and Dusseldorf.

These new European flights for summer 2016 follow the recent announcement of new US routes, including Stockholm to Los Angeles, Copenhagen to Miami and Boston, and Oslo to Miami.
