For tourists who want a more adventurous vacation than the standard beach or city break, an African safari could be the perfect choice. If you’ve never been on safari before and are not sure what you should be looking for, a new study of visitor reviews has ranked the top 50 parks across the continent.
The study has been published by SafariBookings.com, a site that offers booking facilities for African safaris. They analyzed reviews from tourists, including experienced and first-time safari travelers as well as contributions from travel experts.
The Serengeti National Park in Tanzania came out in the top spot, gaining a 4.89 rating out of a possible total of 5. The reasons for their high score include the abundance of wildlife and predators that can be seen along with the amazing migration of wildebeest.
In second position was the MalaMala Game Reserve in South Africa. This location in the north east of the country provides visitors with some of the continent’s best opportunities to view various species of wildlife in their natural habitats. It also has some excellent lodging facilities.
The Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya also features in the top ten. It is located about 170 miles from the capital Nairobi, and the city provides some fantastic short-term rentals that you can use as a base for your safari adventure.
Whether you choose to rough it out or you prefer a more luxurious edge to your vacation, safari trekking is an ideal way to experience the true sights and sounds of Africa.
