If you want to experience the ultimate sleepover, you might be interested in an innovative idea at one London art gallery. As part of an exhibition by Belgian artist Carsten Höller, guests have the unique opportunity to spend the night in one of two robotic beds.
This unusual bed would be a fantastic way to spend part of your stay in the UK’s capital city if you’re looking for accommodation in London. At a price of £300 for the night, two guests will have exclusive access to the gallery as the beds move around. To help immerse yourself in Höller’s Decision exhibition, you will also be able to sample Insensatus Vol. 1 Fig. 1, which is a dream-enhancing toothpaste said to influence and induce your dreams whilst in the beds.
You don’t have to worry about feeling sick or not being able to sleep because the beds don’t move at excessive speeds. In fact, they travel at less than three feet per minute, so you’ll still have a chance to get some sleep. There won’t be any opportunities to get up to mischief, though, as gallery security will be on duty and the areas are covered by CCTV.
Tickets are now on sale for this hotel bed with a difference through the Southbank Centre website. You’ll have to act quickly as this will undoubtedly be a popular attraction, and the exhibition only runs from June 10 through September 6.
