Spain
Spain jumps to the top of the pile with around 60.6 million tourists descending on the country every year. Tourists are attracted to the many cultural destinations, entertainment venues, and business travel resources in the country’s major destinations, including Barcelona and Madrid.
France
This European hotspot has the highest number of annual tourists, with more than 84 million people heading for France each year. They are drawn in by the cultural and natural locations that can be explored in the capital, Paris, and across the country.
Germany
Germany is another destination in continental Europe that made the top three. The country has a wide choice of vacation rentals on offer in major cities, such as Berlin, Frankfurt, and Hamburg.
United States
The U.S. comes in at fourth place due to the host of cultural and natural resources it offers tourists as well as the efficient regional air network. A record-setting 74 million visitors entered the country from around the globe in 2014, heading for areas including Boston, New York, and Washington.
UK
