Passengers travelling between Abu Dhabi and New York JFK will have the opportunity to travel in style starting next month with the arrival of Etihad Airways’ Airbus A380 service. The aircraft will replace one of the airline’s current Boeing 777 services beginning on November 23. This will bring a touch of luxury to the skies; the aircraft features the only three-room suite available on a commercial flight.
The early arrival of the new service, which was set to start on December 1, comes at a popular time for passengers on this route. There will be a high demand for travel into New York to stay in short-term rentals for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend. In addition, the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix will be held from November 27 to 29, which means there will be plenty of opportunities for passengers to experience the enhanced features of the A380 en route to the race.
Etihad’s A380 includes nine self-contained First Class apartments with a reclining chair and a separate ottoman that opens up into a fully flat bed. The Residence by Etihad is the ultimate in luxury flying. It can accommodate two passengers in a three-room suite that includes a living space, a bedroom and shower facilities.
The aircraft also includes 70 Business Studios with fully flat beds and direct aisle access along with 415 Economy seats. All passengers have access to the on-demand entertainment service, USB and power points, and Wi-Fi. The A380 will fly daily between Abu Dhabi and New York JFK.
