Travelers will now have a wider choice of Asian connections with the launch of Finnair’s new route between Scotland and Finland. From next April, the airline will operate a new service between Edinburgh and Helsinki, enabling passengers to connect to a wide range of destinations across Asia.
The seasonal service will run between April 18 and October 27, 2016. It will operate three times every week. This will provide passengers with a quick and convenient link to the Finnish capital. Here they can choose to spend a relaxing and cultural city break with a variety of places to stay.
Finnair operates an extensive network of Asian services from its Helsinki hub. With a short connection time through Helsinki airport, passengers can reach their onward destination with less stress and hassle. Some of the major destinations passengers can fly to include Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Delhi, Tokyo, and Singapore.
In addition to introducing this new service, Finnair has also announced that it will be the launch airline in Europe for the Airbus A350 XWB. This will provide passengers with increased levels of comfort and offer enhanced environmental benefits and greater efficiency.
They will be the first airline globally to use the new aircraft on a scheduled service when it begins flying their Shanghai route from October 25. They will then use the A350 on further routes, including Bangkok, Beijing, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
