Thrill seekers will tour the globe to find the fastest, highest, and scariest roller coasters that exist. Parks vying for all these customers are constantly developing new and exciting rides to draw in the crowds. To celebrate the humble roller coaster, many of the theme parks in the US will be taking part in National Roller Coaster Day on August 16.
If you want to take part in this day and visit one of the many parks that are dotted up and down the country, there will be a range of promotions and events to enjoy. This includes discounts, early and late openings, and giveaways.
The Six Flags group of theme parks is one of the biggest chains within the US and they have more than 130 roller coasters across their parks. If you fancy experiencing some of them for yourself, you can book accommodation close to Los Angeles and then spend the day at their Magic Mountain or Hurricane Harbor sites. If you don’t want to visit the West Coast, a number of other parks in the US will also be involved in the celebrations.
Members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) will be able to access exclusive offers at many of the parks. This includes the chance to ride the best roller coasters first and special night ride sessions.
