As Halloween approaches once again, here is a look at the best places in the US to celebrate all things ghoulish and spooky.
New York City
Every year, the Village Halloween Parade in lower Manhattan has some extremely spectacular sights that really have to be seen. This year’s theme for the mile-long parade is Shine a Light, and you can dress up and join in the fun or just grab yourself a spot to watch everything go by.
Los Angeles
If you’re booking vacation rentals in the city at the end of October, then you need to make time to visit the West Hollywood Carnaval. This takes place on Santa Monica Boulevard, and people come in elaborate and highly creative costumes to dance the night away to more than 50 different music acts.
Las Vegas
The city isn’t known for being low-key in anything that it does, so you can imagine how intense their Halloween festivities are. You can enjoy the sights along the Strip for free. If you really want to be scared, you should go to Circus Circus, which becomes Fright Dome, a terrifying experience in a haunted house with a Texas Chainsaw Massacre theme.
Chicago
Now in their 18th year, the Halloween on Halsted celebrations in Chicago give everyone the chance to walk in the colorful and vibrant parade. You must register if you want to walk, and there is also a costume competition alongside marching bands, stilt walkers and fire twirlers.
